The Mid-County 14 year old All Stars are the Coast Sectional PONY Champions!!!!

The team won 5 straight games to win the Championship. Mid-County scored a total of 61 runs during the tournament and allowed only 14 runs during the 5 games. Congratulations to the team, which played incredible defense, had spectacular pitching and jumped ahead in each game with clutch hitting while creating constant pressure running on their opponents.

Mid-County PONY fielded two 13 year old All Stars this year. The Red Team went 2-2 before being eliminated from the tournament held at the El Toro PONY field and the Blue Team went 1-2. Both teams were in every game they played in, with the opportunity to win. As we all know in baseball, a bad bounce can change a game and a double elimination tournament gets difficult after one loss. Congratulations to both teams for not only playing a competitive tournament, but for playing it with pride and respect. The tournament's directors made it a point to praise the players and coaches for their skills and behavior.
